Sierra de Génave SCA (en)

Sierra de Génave is a Cooperative Society dedicated exclusively to the production, bottling and marketing of organic extra virgin olive oil, certified by the C.A.A.E. (Andalusian Committee of Organic Agriculture).

Its olive mill, located on the outskirts of the municipality of Génave, is part of the Natural Park of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas, the largest protected area in Spain, whose environmental characteristics have earned it the recognition of Biosphere Reserve. Its organically grown oil is optimal for health and provides maximum intensity in flavor and a greater vitamin intake. Founded in 1989, it is a pioneer in the cultivation of organic olive groves, and currently has more than 100 members and about 2,000 hectares of production. Its organic oil reaches the main national and international markets. 100% of the production is sold packaged, which provides added value that stays in the production area. The objective of Sierra de Génave SCA is to achieve the maximum quality, regardless of the quantity. This entails applying specific techniques in the cultivation, as well as in the harvesting and transport of the olives and in the milling and packaging processes.
