Oleofer, La Puerta de Segura (en)

Oleofer is one of the most important oil mills in the Sierra de Segura region. It was founded in 1952 as “Agrolea” together with other partners in La Puerta de Segura (Jaén).

In 1987 it bought the entire Almazara La Moderna.
In 2009 it acquires Finca Los Barrancos, thus closing the circle in a process in which the entire production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil is controlled, from harvesting to packaging and subsequent marketing and export.
In 2012, an organic milling line was launched and the Tierras de Tavara brand was launched with its three lines of business: oil, gourmet olives and organic products.
In 2014 it was consolidated as the first oil mill in the Sierra de Segura specialized in oleoturismo.
