The via ferrata of Castillo de Locubin, starts a few meters from the Nacimiento del Río San Juan, crossing this mountain range from the base of the road to its summit. The via ferrata has a length of about 700 meters and during its route we find a Tibetan bridge and a handrail that provide adrenaline and fun. The approximate length for its realization is three hours. The route is open all year round and no previous experience is necessary to enjoy high-altitude hiking. It is an activity that allows the public to enjoy the sensation of emptiness that climbing provides. It is divided into three areas where the route is made up of vertical and inclined sections, traverse and vertical areas on rock. Along the ferrata we will find three bridges, a Nepalese bridge (with the possibility of escape on the left of about 20m and without life line), a 7m monkey bridge (with which we can finish the ferrata or continue by the new extension (made in 2017) and another monkey bridge by which we will ascend in search of the end of the new section. The effort will be rewarded with a unique perspective of this beautiful natural landscape.

Soler Romero is a family company located in Alcaudete, with an extensive olive growing tradition. They produce, bottle and distribute organic extra virgin olive oil, processing only the olives grown on the farm.

They are one of the few organic olive farms with full traceability in Spain: SOLER ROMERO organic extra virgin olive oil is made exclusively with olives from their olive groves, the olives are processed in the mill and the bottling is also carried out in the same facilities.

The farm, called Cortijo El Tobazo, has belonged to the family since 1850 and 6 generations have been in charge of its exploitation. The first plot was acquired by the matriarch of the family, Doña Casilda, in the middle of the 19th century. An agreement was made with local shepherds to graze in exchange for planting the olive trees. The olive trees are centuries old and most of them were planted by those shepherds almost 200 years ago.

They participate in the Olivares Vivos project coordinated by SEO Birdlife, together with other partners such as the Diputación de Jaén, the Departments of Ecology and Marketing of the University of Jaén and the Experimental Station of Arid Zones of the Higher Council for Scientific Research.

The interpretation center belongs to the Regional Network of Olive Oil Mills. It is dedicated to the qualities of olive oil, its uses and health. Located in the facilities of the S.C.A Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro in Alcaudete and promoted by ADSUR.

The Sociedad Cooperativa Andaluza Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro in Alcaudete is one of the main olive oil mills in the region in terms of job creation and added value. It currently has more than 1,800 members who put their efforts into its management.

It produces, packages and trades its own Extra Virgin Olive Oil under the brands Carrasqueño and Q58.The predominant variety of olive grove in this area is the Picual, (80%), there are other minority varieties such as Carrasqueño de Alcaudete (15%) and Picudo (5%).

You can visit the olive reception area, oil mill, cellars, bottling plant, as well as the Interpretation Center and the museum it houses.
